Pre-insulated AquaPEX® Helps Meet Energy-code Requirements; Saves Up to 37% on Install Costs

This pre-insulated product offers all the benefits of AquaPEX crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) tubing — flexible, durable, corrosion-resistant — with a layer of ½" PEX-foam insulation surrounding the tubing to insulate potable-water lines and meet national, state and local energy-code requirements.
“Not only does Pre-insulated AquaPEX provide a green, sustainable solution for plumbing systems, but it also saves on installation costs and time,” says Jayson Drake, senior product manager, Plumbing and Fire Safety, at Uponor. “In fact, according to RS Means Construction Data, Pre-insulated AquaPEX can save up to 37% on installation costs compared with the two-step installation and insulation process.”

Pre-insulated AquaPEX is available in sizes from ½" to 2" and comes in 100-foot coils for ½", ¾" and 1" tubing or 20-foot straight lengths for 1¼", 1½" and 2" tubing.
